studioplusthree is an architecture and design practice, working with artists, museums, galleries and cultural institutions to engage visitors through the creation of memorable experiences.
From permanent galleries to temporary exhibitions, artist commissions and new installations, we design cultural spaces which connect stories, people and place.
Our clients have included major cultural institutions such as the University of Sydney, the Powerhouse Museum, the British Museum and the National Gallery of Australia.
Our experience includes working with international organisations such as the V&A Museum, the Science Museum London, the Natural History Museum, and the Netherlands Architecture Institute.
We work closely with cultural organisations to bring their vision to life. Through collaborations with curators, artists, conservators, technical experts and creative consultants, we seek to create immersive experiences for the public to connect and learn.
Our process combines an artistic and technical approach, bringing together a diversity of knowledge, ideas and experience across the worlds of performance, visual arts, fashion and industry.
Our work across arts and cultural projects has been recognised in awards such as the Museums and Galleries National Awards, the Australian Interior Design Awards, and the NSW Architecture Awards.
We draw on our multidisciplinary design experience across installations, exhibitions, furniture and buildings. Led by directors Simon Rochowski and Julin Ang, we seek to create work that celebrates craft, quality and the human experience.
