Simon co-founded studioplusthree following his studies in the UK and the Netherlands, and working in architectural practice in the UK, Canada and Australia. He has extensive experience working across the arts and cultural sectors, having worked with leading international cultural organisations such as the British Museum, the V&A Museum, the Netherlands Architecture Institute, London Design Festival, the National Gallery of Australia, the Powerhouse Museum, and the University of Sydney.
Simon is a strong advocate for design and wider public access to architecture, and has spoken at events such as at Sydney Design Festival, Sydney Open, SCCI Architecture Hub, Sydney Contemporary, and the Institute’s Small Practice Masterclass programme. Simon has written for architectural and design media including Houses Magazine, Broadsheet, Green Magazine and the Architecture Bulletin. The studio’s work has been widely published in Australian and international design media such as Architecture Australia, Houses Magazine, Artichoke and VAULT, and Simon has featured in a range of media speaking on design and cultural issues such as sustainability, housing affordability and urban design.
Simon has taught architectural design at UTS, is an elected member of the AIA NSW Chapter Council, and is currently a Mentor with the Institute’s Mentorloop system. He continues to be involved with University architectural education through teaching at UTS and the University of Sydney.
In 2021 Simon was selected as a winner of the Dulux Study Tour Prize, for outstanding contribution to architectural practice, education, design excellence and community involvement.

As co-director of studioplusthree, Julin brings a focus on material and craft to the studio’s arts, cultural and architectural projects. With studioplusthree, she has worked with major cultural institutions including the British Museum, the University of Sydney, the Powerhouse Museum and the Australian National Maritime Museum.
Julin is a recipient of the AIA NSW Chapter Prize, and studied on scholarship at the Architectural Association London, where her work was nominated for AA Diploma Honours, the AA’s highest award.
Julin’s design experience ranges across Australia, the Netherlands, UK and Hong Kong. Prior to studioplusthree, in London with Heatherwick studio, she worked on projects in the public realm including Pacific Place Lobbies and the studio’s retrospective exhibition at the V&A Museum. Her experience spans diverse disciplines encompassing architecture, interior, landscape, furniture and exhibition design. She has taught at UTS, spoken at events such as Sydney Contemporary, and her leadership has seen studioplusthree receive international recognition for its work.
In 2023, Julin and co-director Simon were shortlisted for the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Emerging Architect Prize.
