Simon elected to AIA NSW Chapter Council

We're pleased to share that studio director Simon has recently been elected to the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Chapter Council.

The Chapter Council has a key role in representing the interests of members, providing advocacy and leadership, and helping establish policy. There has never been a more pressing time for this as Australian architecture, architects and society faces an intimidating list of challenges - from issues such as as climate change, affordability of housing and construction, gender equity, First Nations reconcilliation, and more. As architects, we feel we have to be optimistic - to believe things can change, and for the better. We look foward to continuing to contribute to our profession and our society in a positive way.

Simon joins an outstanding group of architects and representatives on the Council, including David Welsh of @welshandmajor , cam_carolyn, Sean Wong and @sallyhsu__ of @emagn_nsw and of course president @adamhaddow .

A big thank you to our peers, colleagues and friends who kindly expressed their support, including @chenchowlittle @shaun_carter_cs @evamarieprineas @samcrawfordarch @williamsmart .
