Architecture talks: Simon from studioplusthree talks brutalism at the SCCI Architecture Hub

studioplusthree director Simon Rochowski spoke as part of this year’s SCCI Architecture Hub on October 18th, at the Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas in Paddington.

Rebecca Hawcroft (curator, The Moderns, Sydney Living Museums) chaired a panel including Simon Rochowski (studioplusthree architects), Philip Thalis (Councillor, City of Sydney), Glenn Harper (PTW Architects and author of Sydney Brutalism: Lost and Legacy Projects) and Phillip Arnold (Plus Minus Design) in a discussion of Brutalism and its legacy on Sydney’s architecture and urban environment.

The SCCI Architecture Hub talk series is the newest evolution of the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation, founded and directed by Dr Gene Sherman AM.

Simon joined local and international architects in this ten-day event, with the Hub series diving deep into architectural conversations, including keynote talks from Japanese architects Sou Fujimoto and Junya Ishigami Associates.
