McMahons Point Residence

This addition to a a family home in a Heritage Conservation Area brings a reconfiguration of the internal layout, with a new contemporary extension at first floor to provide a much-needed en-suite bathroom and storage.

This project works with its tight urban site, providing bike storage, parking and new landscaping at ground floor, with new bedroom spaces on the upper levels. The extension reads as an enigmatic, simple box, recessed from the main frontage of the house and recessive in the context of the streetscape.
